He is a member of the American College of Surgery, American Pediatric Surgical Association, and the Florida Association of Pediatric Surgeons. He is also a special consultant for the American College of Surgeons’ Injury Prevention and Control Committee.

    Jorge A. Ramirez, MD, was born in Cuba and moved to the United States as a child. He is a graduate of the University of Monterrey in Mexico.
