WINTER GARDEN, FL (January 19, 2021) – Today Orlando Health held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newest facility, the Orlando Health - Horizon West Hospital. Located in Winter Garden in the rapidly developing community of Horizon West, Orlando Health leaders, physicians and team members were on hand to celebrate the completion of the latest phase of the Horizon West medical campus. Horizon West Hospital will be the health system’s 10th acute care facility and the organization’s first newly constructed hospital in more than 15 years.

Phillips Hospital has named a new chief operating officer (COO) to oversee daily operations and new business strategies at the full-service hospital located in Orlando’s highly populated tourism corridor. Tim O’Brien will step into the vacant COO role on May 17, replacing Ohme Entin, who was promoted to president of Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital.

All Orlando Health hospitals receive top grades for patient safety
Orlando, FL (October 31, 2017) – Orlando Health’s Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Health Central Hospital, Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), South Seminole Hospital, and South Lake Hospital in affiliation with Orlando Health have all received “A” hospital safety grades by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit organization operated by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. Grades are based on a point system that assigns – then calculates – numerical scores of nearly 30 healthcare measures including communication between clinicians and patients, implementation of processes and protocols to promote safe patient care that have been established by the National Quality Forum, and a hospital’s culture.
