Marilyn Fudge, MD, MHA, FACOG
Dr. Fudge is a native Floridian, born and raised in St. Petersburg. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and attended the University of Florida, College of Medicine. In 2002 she completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where she received numerous awards. Dr. Fudge was honored as outstanding resident of the year in her intern and chief years.

Frank Marsalisi, MD, FACOG
Dr. Marsalisi is the Director of Gynecology and Pelvic Floor Disorders at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. Originally from New York, he preceded his medical degree from Michigan State University with two years of research with publication in Hypersensitivity Diseases at USV Pharmaceutical and Upjohn Company. After completing his obstetrics and gynecology residency as chief resident at the University of South Florida, he went on to fulfill his four-year commitment with the National Health Service Corp as Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ruskin Migrant and Community Health Center in Ruskin, Florida. While at Ruskin, he was appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Florida and received the U.S. Public Health Service Regional Health Administrator’s Award.

David Desper, MD, FACOG
Dr. Desper was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He received his undergraduate degree and medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Barnes Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis in 1981.

Mayra Cruz-Ithier, MD, FACOG
Dr. Cruz Ithier is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. She joined the hospital staff in 2018. She is also on the faculty at the Bayfront Health Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program.

Rachelle Schwartz, DO, FACOG
Dr. Schwartz is a graduate of Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg in 2009. While at Bayfront, Dr. Schwartz served as the Chief Education Resident. She also received numerous awards such as the Laparoscopic Surgeon of the Year Award, Resident Academic Achievement Award, and Academic Excellence Award.

James LaPolla, MD, FACOG
Dr. LaPolla received his degree in medicine from the University of Illinois. After completing a residency in Internal Medicine, Dr. LaPolla completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Los Angeles County, USC Medical Center where he subsequently completed a fellowship in Gynecological Oncology.

José Prieto, MD, FACOG
Dr. Prieto is the Assistant Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine with the Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. His areas of interest include ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis. Dr. Prieto is the current coordinator for resident research. Fluent in Spanish and English.

Jessica Kennard, DO, FACOOG
Dr. Jessica Kennard is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is board eligible for gynecologic oncology, and completed her fellowship training in gynecologic oncology from AdventHealth Cancer Institute in Orlando, Fla.
