Slow Cooker Turkey and Sweet Potato Chili

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground turkey, browned and drained

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, diced

  • 1 can black beans, drained

  • 1 can garbanzo beans, drained

  • 1 can kidney beans, drained (Choose reduced sodium or no salt added beans)

  • 1 28-oz. can fire roasted tomatoes

  • 1 can diced green chiles

  • 1 tablespoon cumin

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

  • 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in slow cooker and mix well.

  2. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, until sweet potatoes are soft.

  3. Serve with your favorite toppings (sour cream, cheese, tortilla chips)
