Bio
Dr. Neil Patel is a board-certified interventional pain physician with the Orlando Health Spine Center, a multidisciplinary collaboration between Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Patel works with patients who suffer from chronic pain and determines the best option to help them feel relief through surgery or non-invasive treatment. His specialties include:
- Epidural steroid injections
- Joint injections
- Nerve blocks
- Facet blocks
- Radiofrequency ablation for spine and major joints
- Basivertebral nerve ablation / intracept
- Kyphoplasty
- Tumor ablations
- Minimally invasive lumbar decompression

- Peripheral nerve stimulation
Dr. Patel cares for patients suffering from chronic pain so disruptive that it makes it nearly impossible for them to go about daily life. He believes in taking a holistic approach to treatment.
Dr. Patel’s Training
Dr. Patel earned his bachelor’s degree in public health and health sciences at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Graduating magna cum laude, he received his medical training at St. George’s University in Grenada. Dr. Patel completed his residency in anesthesiology and perioperative medicine at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, where he served as chief resident in his final year. He completed a pain medicine fellowship at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
About Dr. Patel
Dr. Patel is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. His professional memberships include the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Society of Regional and Pain Medicine, North American Neuromodulation Society, Florida Society of Pain and Neuroscience and Indian American Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout his education and training, Dr. Patel has been active in research and presented his work at numerous medical conferences.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, exercising, and visiting theme parks and beaches. He enjoys rooting for the Florida Gators, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Orlando Magic.
