Bio
Dr. Abhishek Chilkulwar is a triple-board-certified oncologist with the bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy program at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. He has 17 years of experience, and his specialties include:
- Bone marrow transplants (autologous, allogeneic, cord blood and haploidentical)
- Bispecific antibodies
- CAR-T cell therapy
- Acute leukemia/myelodysplastic syndrome treatment
- Cellular therapy lab (on-site collection facility and cell manipulation)
- Extracorporeal photopheresis for the treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, graft versus host disease and lung transplant rejection

Dr. Chilkulwar’s Training
Dr. Chilkulwar received his medical training at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, and completed an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. He completed fellowships in hematology and medical oncology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Dr. Chilkulwar is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His professional memberships include the American Society of Hematology and American Society of Transplant and Cellular Therapy.
Dr. Chilkulwar has an established research career in stem cell transplantation. He also has published extensively in the field with articles, abstracts and a book chapter and serves as an editorial board member for BMC Cancer.
