Abid Malik, MD, joined the team at Orlando Health Behavioral Group in 2007, treating patients in a wide range of diagnoses in an inpatient setting. He is board certified in psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, sleep medicine, addiction medicine and obesity medicine.
Dr. Malik earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Pakistan, and completed his residency in psychiatry at Albany Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Malik is an assistant professor of psychiatry as a volunteer faculty member at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, and also serves as one of the clinical preceptors for University of Florida physician assistant program.
Dr. Malik’s research has been presented and published in multiple papers. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
