Adheesh Agnihotri, MD, is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist with the Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute. In addition to cryoablation, which restores normal heart rhythm by disabling cells that create an irregular heartbeat, he performs complex left atrial ablation, atrial flutter ablation and more.
Electrophysiology is a cardiac specialty that enables physicians to diagnose and treat patients with arrhythmia, also known as an irregular heartbeat. For most patients, diagnosis can be difficult because arrhythmias are unpredictable.
Dr. Agnihotri is a skilled clinical cardiac electrophysiologist and uses a simple catheterization procedure to determine the precise location of the arrhythmia to accurately diagnose and treat the issue. If treatment is required, he uses the most advanced medical technology to perform electrophysiological procedures plus pacemaker and defibrillator implantation.
Dr. Agnihotri’s Training
Dr. Agnihotri earned his medical degree from Panjab University Government Medical College in India. He completed his residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago College of Medicine – St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, which was followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Maine Medical Center in Portland and another in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts.
About Dr. Agnihotri

He also has participated in several research studies; his abstracts and manuscripts have appeared in numerous medical publications; and he has received commendation for excellence in teaching.
While in India, Dr. Agnihotri participated as a medical officer in "Pulse Polio", a nationwide medical campaign to eradicate polio.
