Bio
Dr. Alberto Vasquez is a board-certified neurologist with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. He has more than 45 years of experience and has cared for patients in the St. Petersburg area since 1993. Dr. Vasquez specializes in comprehensive care for adults with neurological disorders, and his expertise includes:
- Electrodiagnostic medicine
- Migraines
- Focal dystonia
- Hemifacial spasm
- Blepharospasm
- Muscle spasticity
- Bruxism
- Hyperhidrosis
Dr. Vasquez works closely with patients to help them achieve their personal health goals through individualized treatment plans.
Dr. Vasquez’s Training
Dr. Vasquez received his medical training at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila, Philippines. He completed a neurology residency and neuromuscular fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, where he also served as a clinical instructor.

Dr. Vasquez is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is a certified principal investigator with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
His professional memberships include the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Vasquez has written several neuroscience research papers and served as primary investigator on numerous clinical trials. He also served as an assistant professor in neurology at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Outside of work, Dr. Vasquez enjoys spending time with family, exercising and music. He is also passionate about humanitarian efforts to provide free medical care to underserved communities in the Philippines.
