Bio
Dr. Alejandro Gomez-Viso is a fellowship-trained urogynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon with the Orlando Health Women's Institute Center for Urogynecology. He specializes in diagnosing and treating pelvic floor disorders, including:
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Stress urinary incontinence
- Overactive bladder
- Vaginal fistula repair
- Urethral diverticulum
Dr. Gomez-Viso is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to all of his patients.
Dr. Gomez-Viso’s Training
Dr. Gomez-Viso received bachelor’s degrees in biology and biochemistry from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and earned his medical degree from New York University Grossman School of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University Langone Health and a fellowship in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
About Dr. Gomez-Viso
Dr. Gomez-Viso is licensed as a medical doctor by the Florida Department of Health. He is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society.
During his fellowship at Duke, he received a research grant and was the principal investigator for a performance measure to assess patient outcomes after pelvic organ prolapse treatment.
Outside of work, Dr. Gomez-Viso enjoys spending time with family, traveling, indoor cycling and trying new restaurants. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
