Bio
Dr. Alex Sullivan is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. He specializes in total joint replacement procedures and treatments, and his expertise includes:
- Robotic and computer-assisted hip and knee replacements
- Fractures involving hip and knee replacements
- Revision total hip and knee replacements
- Minimally invasive knee and hip replacements
- Nonsurgical knee treatments
- Knee and hip injections
Dr. Sullivan provides patient-centered care and evidence-based treatment options. He focuses on education and communication to ensure the best outcomes, treats patients with compassion and respect, and involves them in all decisions about their healthcare.
Dr. Sullivan’s Training
Dr. Sullivan received his bachelor’s degree in molecular, cellular and developmental biology and a neuroscience certificate from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He earned his master’s degree in medical sciences at the University of South Florida in Tampa and his medical degree, with honors, at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Dr. Sullivan completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of South Florida/Florida Orthopaedic Institute and his fellowship in adult reconstruction at Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Dr. Sullivan’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Florida Orthopaedic Society, Florida Medical Association, American College of Physicians and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
He has contributed to numerous medical journals, including the Journal of Orthopaedics and Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
