Bio
Dr. Alexander Azbel is a board-certified vascular and interventional radiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology who has 24 years of experience. He specializes in uterine fibroid embolization and liver cancer therapy.
He cares for patients by using diagnostic imaging to guide minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat conditions that once required open surgery. Such imaging includes:
- X-rays
- Ultrasounds
- Computed tomography (CT)
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
Dr. Azbel strives to help patients avoid major surgery and treat them compassionately.
Dr. Azbel’s Training
He earned his medical degree at State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Azbel completed his diagnostic residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, where he served as chief resident in his final year. His fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology was performed at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.

Dr. Azbel is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. Dr. Azbel is fluent in English and Russian.
