Bio
Dr. Andre Nunes Fialho is a board-certified gastroenterologist with the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute. He provides comprehensive gastrointestinal care such as diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the GI tract as well as preventive care.
Dr. Fialho’s experience includes:
- Liver disease
- Fatty liver
- Screening for colon cancer
- Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- Helicobacter pylori
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Gastrointestinal disease research
He enjoys helping others by making a positive impact and building relationships with his patients.
Dr. Fialho’s Training
Dr. Fialho received his medical training from the Medical School of the Federal University of Ceará in Brazil. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio and performed his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at University of Florida Health in Jacksonville.

A frequent lecturer and contributor to medical journals, Dr. Fialho is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his children and his wife, Andrea, who is also a gastroenterologist with the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute. He is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
