Angela Young is a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute, specializing in cardiovascular disease. Her expertise includes:
- Assessing and diagnosing various cardiac conditions in adult, geriatric and pregnant patients
- Interpreting electrocardiograms and lab tests
- Providing preventive healthcare
- Offering patient education
Before working with cardiac patients, Angela served more than a decade in critical care at Orlando Health’s Level One Trauma Center.
She strives to treat every patient with compassion, respect and integrity, as well as educate them so they can be active participants in their own care.
Angela’s Training
Angela received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She earned her Master of Science in nursing (MSN), focusing on family practice and adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, from the University of South Alabama in Mobile.

She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (ACNPC-AG) by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. Angela is licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and as a registered nurse in Florida. Her professional memberships include the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and Central Florida Advanced Nurse Practice Council.
Outside of work, Angela likes spending time with her family and dogs, traveling, hiking, reading, and trying new restaurants.
