Anna Carpenter Harris, MS, CGC - Cancer - Genetics and High Risk

Anna Carpenter is a certified genetic counselor (CGC) with Orlando Health Cancer Institute. She analyzes patients’ personal history, family history and genetic test results to estimate their risk of developing cancer and to create a personalized medical management plan. Her expertise includes:

  • Genetic risk assessment
  • Educating patients about genetic disorders
  • Coordinating genetic testing
  • Interpreting test results
  • Creating management plans for patients

Anna aims to meet patients where they are and to create a supportive environment to guide them through the genetic counseling process.

Anna’s Training

Anna graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in genetics and genomic sciences from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she also received master’s degrees in multidisciplinary biomedical sciences and in genetic counseling.

Anna is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counselors, and her professional memberships include the National Society of Genetic Counselors and Florida Association of Genetic Counselors. 

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, going to the beach and traveling.
