Anthony Rongione, MD, is a board-certified cardiac and thoracic surgeon with the Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute. He specializes in minimally invasive aortic valve procedures, TAVR, aortic root and aneurysm procedures with a focus on advanced heart failure, including mechanical circulatory support (LVAD) and transplantation. Experienced Cardiac and Vascular Care
Narrow or blocked arteries, known as coronary artery disease, are a common condition and require experienced cardiac and vascular care from a board-certified surgeon like Dr. Rongione. Patients with advanced coronary artery disease may experience a severe cardiac event such as intense chest pain, heart attack or stroke and require emergency attention.
Whether it is a scheduled or emergency procedure, Dr. Rongione provides patients the most current surgical treatments available. For many patients, minimally invasive procedures, including angioplasty and stents, are appropriate, while others may require bypass surgery or another more invasive intervention.
