Bio
Dr. Arnold Ramirez is a board-certified primary care sports medicine physician with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. With 30 years of experience, he treats professional and amateur athletes and those with active lifestyles. His specialties include:
- Fractures
- Concussions
- Arthritis, tendinitis and joint pain
- Platelet-rich plasma
- Ultrasound-guided joint and MSK injections
- Diagnostic MSK ultrasound
Dr. Ramirez’s Training
Dr. Ramirez earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at the University of Toronto in Canada, where he graduated with high distinction. He received his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Ramirez completed a family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Peterburg. He also completed a fellowship in faculty development at Michigan State University in East Lansing.
About Dr. Ramirez
Dr. Ramirez is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with special qualification in sports medicine. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Family Physicians, Florida Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and American College of Sports Medicine.
His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, and he has presented his work at national conferences.
Dr. Ramirez serves as the head team physician for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He is an affiliate assistant professor and a clinical associate professor in family medicine at Florida State University.
Outside of work, Dr. Ramirez enjoys cycling, triathlons and playing the guitar.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.

Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
