Bio
Dr. Ayman Mukhtar is a board-certified hematologist with Orlando Health Cancer Institute with specific expertise in allogeneic stem cell transplant. He treats patients with leukemia, myelodysplastic disease, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Hodgkin disease, multiple myeloma, aplastic anemia and amyloidosis. Dr. Mukhtar’s specialties also include:
- Bone marrow transplants (Allogeneic stem cell transplant, haploidentical donor, unrelated donor, autologous stem cell transplant, cord blood transplant)
- CAR-T cell therapy
- Immunotherapies for cancer, autoimmune and infectious diseases
- Bispecific antibodies

Dr. Mukhtar aims to advance the field of stem cell transplantation to help cure patients of cancer. He is passionate about patient care and strives to alleviate their pain while leaving them with a smile.
Dr. Mukhtar’s Training
Dr. Mukhtar received his medical training from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He completed residencies in hematology at the University of Ottawa in Ontario and in internal medicine at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, along with an allogeneic stem cell transplant fellowship at the University of Toronto in Ontario.

Dr. Mukhtar is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
He has served as an assistant professor in hematology and oncology at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, soccer and traveling.
Dr. Mukhtar is fluent in English and Arabic.
