Bio
Dr. Bhavana Bangalore is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist at the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. She specializes in:
- Advanced heart failure
- Mechanical circulatory support
- Heart transplantation
- Pulmonary hypertension
With a passion for science, Dr. Bangalore believes in providing her patients with cutting-edge solutions to their health-related problems. She had several years of clinical experience as a general cardiologist before pursuing further training in advanced heart failure and heart transplantation.
Dr. Bangalore’s Training
Dr. Bangalore earned her medical degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India. She later came to the United States to continue her medical training and was chief resident during the final year of her internal medicine residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.
She was a general cardiology fellow at the University of Toledo in Ohio and completed an advanced heart failure and transplant fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She also earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
About Dr. Bangalore
Dr. Bangalore is board-certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and cardiac computed tomography. She has presented research abstracts at the American College of Cardiology, International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation and Heart Failure Society of America. She was also a clinical instructor in cardiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is fluent in English, Kannada and Hindi.
