Bio
Dr. Bhavani Moparty is a board-certified gastroenterologist with the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute. She has special interest in colorectal cancer screening and women’s health, and her expertise also includes:
- Therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy
- Endoscopic ultrasound
- GERD
- Peptic ulcer disease
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Irritable bowl syndrome
- Colon cancer
- Polyp detection
- Pancreatic disorders
Dr. Moparty promotes preventive healthcare by advocating changes in diet and lifestyle and improving quality of care by implementing innovative treatments and technologies. She enjoys interacting with her patients.
Dr. Moparty’s Training
Dr. Moparty earned her medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed her residency in internal medicine at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago. She continued her education with her master’s in clinical sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she completed her fellowship in gastroenterology and was chief fellow in her final year. Dr. Moparty also trained in endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and advanced therapeutic procedures at Massachusetts General/Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard University in Boston.
About Dr. Moparty
Dr. Moparty is a fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American College of Gastroenterology and is board certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
She has been on numerous state and national GI society committees and served on the governing board as councilor for the Texas Society for GI Endoscopy. Dr. Moparty was an associate professor of clinical medicine at Texas A&M University and part of the teaching faculty at Baylor University Medical Center. Her research work has been published in leading medical journals, and she has collaborated on multiple clinical trials.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and cooking. Dr. Moparty is fluent in English and Telugu.
