Dr. Brian Braithwaite (“Dr. B”) is a board-certified interventional spine and pain management physician with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. His specialties include treating patients with:

Dr. Braithwaite understands that everyone experiences different types of pain. He creates personalized interventional treatment plans to specifically target pain areas, using injection therapy to minimize reliance on medications and to delay surgery unless necessary. Dr. Braithwaite’s goal for patients is freedom from pain so they may enjoy their lives. He takes time to explain procedures and continually assess their benefits.
Dr. Braithwaite’s Training
Dr. Braithwaite received a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and cell science from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He earned his medical degree at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota and completed his residency in anesthesiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. His fellowship in interventional pain management was performed at University of Texas Southwestern Hospital in Dallas.
To gain solid understanding of medicolegal concepts, Dr. Braithwaite completed a six-year MD/JD joint program between the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in Tempe. He is eligible to practice law in Florida.

He is double board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. His professional memberships include the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, ASRA Pain Medicine, International Pain & Spine Intervention Society and American Bar Association.
Before moving to Orlando, he worked in a large orthopedic practice near Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was recognized for several years as a top doctor in his field.
Outside of work, Dr. Braithwaite enjoys walking, tennis, going to the beach, and spending time with his wife and three sons.
