Bio
Brittany Harris is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with the Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. She cares for patients who have vascular disorders of the brain or spinal cord, and her expertise includes:
- Ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke
- Transient ischemic attacks
- Intracranial atherosclerosis
- Cerebral amyloid angiopathy
- Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis
- Vascular dissection
- Spinal cord stroke
- Moyamoya disease
- Reversible cerebral vasospasm
- Stenosis of brain arteries
- Blood vessel inflammation
Brittany has served Central Florida since 2012. She believes in empowering her patients with a full understanding of their condition and treatment options, including ongoing research and new discoveries. Brittany is dedicated to a comprehensive approach that incorporates healthy lifestyle adjustments, preventive measures and cutting-edge therapies.
Brittany’s Training
Brittany graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she also earned her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) focusing on adult-gerontology studies and graduated with honors.
About Brittany
Brittany is certified as an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner (AGNP-C) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and as a neuroscience registered nurse (CNRN) by the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing. She is licensed as an APRN and registered nurse in Florida.
Brittany volunteers with Freedom Ride, which offers therapeutic horseback rides for children and adults with disabilities, and Give Kids The World, a Central Florida organization that provides vacations to critically ill children and their families.
Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, traveling, going to theme parks and exploring new restaurants. She also likes spoiling Luna, her miniature Australian Shepherd.
