Bio
César Mejía, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician with Orlando Health Physician Associates. He cares for patients from birth through early adulthood and provides services such as newborn check-ups, wellness checks, school physicals, sick visits, chronic care and more.
Dr. Mejía guides children and their families towards healthy lifestyle behaviors and choices. This includes a special interest in working with them to address obesity and provide weight management counseling if needed.

Providing a Healthy Start
Understanding the important role a pediatrician plays in getting newborns and their parents off to a healthy start, Dr. Mejía encourages expecting parents to schedule an appointment to meet with him before baby is born to discuss their needs and answer any questions.
Dr. Mejía’s Training
Dr. Mejía earned his medical degree from State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and bachelor’s degree in biology from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He then completed his residency at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx.
About Dr. Mejía
Dr. Mejía dedicates time to community outreach projects and is a former member of the National Health Services Corps, which provides healthcare professionals to aid medically underserved communities across the country.
Prior to entering medical school, he was an AmeriCorps community service organizer at a bilingual elementary school in East Harlem and assisted immigrant children from Latin American in advancing their English literary skills.
Dr. Mejía is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and his work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
When not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his daughter, running, HIIT exercise and watching sports.
