Bio
Dr. Christine Rizk is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist with the Breast and Gynecologic Care Center at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. She has a special clinical interest in breast cancer prevention, and her expertise includes:
- Nipple-sparing mastectomy
- Lumpectomy
- Breast biopsy
- Axillary node biopsy and dissection
- Surgery for high-risk patients
- Cosmetic breast surgery
- Sentinel node biopsy
- Hidden scar breast surgery
Dr. Rizk believes in holistic and compassionate care. She strives to help every patient heal no matter how difficult the journey and what the challenges are.
Dr. Rizk’s Training
Dr. Rizk earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at the University of Rochester in New York, where she graduated magna cum laude. She received her medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) in Syracuse. Dr. Rizk completed a general surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic, where she received the Bruce Hubbard Stuart Humanitarian Award, and a surgical breast oncology fellowship at Brown University Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
About Dr. Rizk
Dr. Rizk is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Her professional memberships include the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Breast Disease.
She has delivered presentations nationally, and her work has appeared in peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Rizk also is a New Apple Book Award Medal Winner for her contribution to Surviving Cancer: Our Voices & Choices.
In 2015, Dr. Rizk was honored with the Super Doctors Rising Star award by The New York Times.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and running marathons. Dr. Rizk is fluent in English and Arabic.

Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
