Connor McVey is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) at Orlando Health Behavioral Health Group. He provides outpatient care, and his expertise includes:
- Conducting psychiatric histories and assessments
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies
- Prescribing and managing medications
His interest in mental health began while he was a law enforcement officer in rural Florida, and he realized his true passion was in helping people lead healthy and fulfilling lives. He switched careers to medicine, focusing on psychiatry.

Connor’s Training
Connor earned a master's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He performed psychiatry rotations at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida, and at Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital in Longwood, Florida.
About Connor
He served for three years as a sheriff's deputy for the Hendry County Sheriff's Office in southwest Florida near Lake Okeechobee.
Connor is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and earned an additional Certification of Added Qualification in psychiatry. He is an assistant clinical professor with the Florida State University College of Medicine, evaluating PA students' readiness to enter the workforce.
