Dr. Damita Thomas is a board-certified nuclear medicine specialist with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology who has more than a decade of experience. She cares for patients who need interpretation of their nuclear imaging, which is used to examine organ function. The most common areas for nuclear scans include:

Dr. Thomas believes that patient care takes time, patience and a measured response to compassionately and attentively respond to each person.
Dr. Thomas’s Training
Dr. Thomas earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. She completed a partial residency in general surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, and at UF Health Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Thomas completed a full residency in nuclear medicine at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, where she also served as chief resident for two years.
