Bio
Daniel Cohen is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. He specializes in orthopedic surgery for the hips and knees with a surgical emphasis on joint reconstruction, and his experience includes:
- Assisting in direct anterior total hip replacement
- Assisting in robotic total knee arthroplasty
- Knee joint steroid injection
- Trochanteric bursitis hip injection
- Knee joint gel injection
- Revision knee and hip arthroplasty
Daniel is interested in his patients’ overall health. He believes orthopedics is a great avenue to care for the entire person because knees and hips are made to keep people moving toward the things that give them life.
Daniel’s Training
He received his bachelor's degree in nutrition from the University of Florida in Gainesville and earned his master's in physician assistant studies from Wingate University in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
About Daniel
Daniel is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed as a PA with prescribing qualifications by the Florida Department of Health.
Daniel has worked as a firefighter/EMT in North Carolina. He has volunteered for Hospice’s Friends Across the Ages program and acted as an outdoor adventure coordinator for men who are overcoming addiction.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family, trying new restaurants, golf and pickleball.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
