Dr. Daniela Tello is a board-certified and fellowship-trained infectious disease specialist with Orlando Health Medical Group Infectious Diseases. Dr. Tello treated coronavirus patients in New York during the height of the pandemic and was honored for her service and courage during that time. At Orlando Health, she will be treating and diagnosing infectious diseases caused by viruses, bacteria and fungi, including:
- HIV/AIDS
- Hepatitis
- Meningitis
- Pneumonia
- Tuberculosis
Dr. Tello’s approach includes factoring in a patient’s values and social aspects to deliver the most individualized treatment.
Dr. Tello’s Training
Dr. Tello earned her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, where she graduated cum laude. She completed an internal medicine residency with an HIV track at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and an infectious disease fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
About Dr. Tello
Dr. Tello is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her research topics include managing HIV, tuberculosis and methemoglobinemia, a rare blood disorder.
Outside of work, she enjoys exercising and spending time with her friends and her daughter. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
