Bio
Dr. Darlene Go Popat is a board-certified cardiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Cardiology specializing in preventive cardiac health and heart failure therapy. She has more than 35 years of experience, and her expertise includes:
- Clinical cardiology
- Transesophageal echocardiography
- Direct current cardioversion
Dr. Go Popat believes that listening to her patients helps her give them the best possible care. She strives to treat her patients like family.
Dr. Go Popat’s Training
Dr. Go Popat received her medical training at the Velez College of Medical Technology and Cebu Institute of Medicine, both in Cebu, Philippines. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in New York and a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn.
Dr. Go Popat is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American Venous Forum, and her professional memberships include the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, Philippine-American Physicians of Central Florida, Doctors of South Asia and American Society of Echocardiography. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
Outside of work, Dr. Go Popat enjoys spending time outdoors. She is fluent in English, Tagalog and Visayan.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
