Bio
Dr. David Brandel is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging. He cares for patients who need interpretation of their diagnostic imaging, including:
- X-rays
- Ultrasounds
- Computed tomography
- Magnetic resonance imaging
Dr. Brandel’s Training
Dr. Brandel earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He received his medical degree with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Brandel completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowships in nuclear radiology and musculoskeletal radiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
About Dr. Brandel
Dr. Brandel is board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology and in nuclear medicine by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. His professional memberships include the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society and American College of Radiology.
His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals and a book chapter.
Before joining Orlando Health, Dr. Brandel worked as an emergency radiologist with several practices.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
