Dr. Deepak Vivek is a board-certified interventional cardiologist who has cared for patients at the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute since 2005. His expertise includes:
- Placing stents to open up arteries
- Replacing and repairing heart valves without incisions
- Repairing holes in the heart
He was the first cardiologist at Orlando Health to perform the transcatheter aortic valve replacement and mitral clip procedure.
Dr. Vivek also is board certified in cardiovascular disease specializing in coronary, peripheral and carotid intervention; and in nuclear cardiology, using noninvasive techniques to evaluate blood flow and other heart functions.
