Deven M. Patel, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist with the Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and vascular ultrasound interpretation.
Dr. Patel completed his bachelor of liberal arts and medical degree in a six-year accelerated medical program at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, followed by a cardiology fellowship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, New Hampshire.
Prior to joining Orlando Health, Dr. Patel served as a cardiologist at Tarrant County Cardiology and Texas Cardiovascular Institute, Fort Worth. He pioneered a cardio-oncology screening and prevention program for breast cancer patients receiving potentially cardiotoxic chemotherapy. He also has served as an adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth.
Dr. Patel has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and has delivered numerous presentations on cardiology topics. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
