Bio
Edie Brucker is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. She specializes in medical oncology, and her expertise includes:
- Head and neck cancers
- Gastrointestinal cancers
- Symptom management
- Palliative care
Edie serves as senior director of advanced practice providers at the cancer institute. She has held a variety of leadership roles with a focus on expanding access to oncology services, streamlining care delivery and improving the patient experience.
Edie’s Training
Edie earned a bachelor’s degree in health and exercise science at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She received her Master of Science in nursing with a specialty in oncology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and her doctor of nursing practice (DNP) in transformative leadership from Rush University in Chicago. Edie also earned a master’s in public health from Tulane University in New Orleans.
About Edie
Edie is board certified as an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner (AGPCNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is certified as an advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation and in executive nursing practice by the American Organization for Nursing Leadership.
Her professional memberships include the Oncology Nursing Society, American Organization for Nursing Leadership and International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care.
Outside of work, Edie enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, cycling and being outdoors.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
