Bio
Dr. Eduardo Hernandez-Cardona is a board-certified urologist with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. He specializes in minimally invasive treatments and robotic surgery for diseases of the urinary tract, and his expertise includes:
- Enlarged prostate
- Stone disease
- Low testosterone
- Urinary incontinence
- Overactive bladder
- Erectile dysfunction
- Prostate, bladder and kidney cancer
Dr. Hernandez-Cardona practices evidence-based medicine and strives to make his patients feel comfortable discussing their health concerns in a safe and confidential environment, where their issues are addressed with respect and compassion.
Dr. Hernandez-Cardona’s Training
Dr. Hernandez-Cardona earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras, graduating cum laude, and received his medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. He completed residencies in general surgery and urology at the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras and an advanced robotic urology fellowship at AdventHealth Celebration Global Robotics Institute in Celebration, Florida.

Dr. Hernandez-Cardona is board certified by the American Board of Urology, and he is a fellow of the American Urological Association. His professional memberships include the American Association of Clinical Urologists, Society of Robotic Surgery and Puerto Rico Urological Association.
Dr. Hernandez-Cardona has taught urology at the University of Central Florida in Orlando for 10 years. His research has been published in a textbook chapter and numerous peer-reviewed medical journals.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, music, outdoor activities and traveling.
Dr. Hernandez-Cardona is fluent in English and Spanish.
