Bio
Erin Greenup, DO, is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist at the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Endocrinology and Diabetes Center. She specializes in endocrinology, providing diagnosis and treatment for children and adolescents with hormonal and metabolic conditions of varying severity.
Expert Diagnosis and Treatment
As an endocrinologist, Dr. Greenup determines why the body is not secreting hormones as it should. While most hormones are delivered via the blood stream, organs and glands secreting hormones in an abnormal manner are of concern because they may impact physical growth and sexual development.
Depending on the condition, Dr. Greenup may use one or more treatments, including:
- Hormone blockers
- Hormone therapy
- Medication
- Steroid therapy
- Surgery
Dr. Greenup’s Training
Dr. Greenup earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. She then completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of South Florida in Tampa and fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
About Dr. Greenup
Dr. Greenup is a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society, Endocrine Society, International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes, and the Florida Medical Association.
During her fellowship, Dr. Greenup was involved in resident and fellow education in the department of pediatrics and has contributed to several medical publications. Her interest in pediatric endocrinology began in 2008 when she started working closely with the Florida Diabetes Camp.
