Dr. Francisco Contreras is a board-certified interventional radiologist at Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology. He uses medical imaging such as X-rays, ultrasound and computed tomography (CT) to guide minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat an array of conditions that once required open surgery.
He also is board certified in diagnostic radiology and skilled in neuroradiology, which focuses on diagnosing conditions of the brain and spine.
Dr. Contreras’ Training
As an undergraduate, Dr. Contreras studied biological science at Florida State University in Tallahassee. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla and completed both his residency in radiology and his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Jackson Memorial/University of Miami Hospital.

Dr. Contreras is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. His work has appeared in peer-reviewed medical and academic journals, and he has co-authored a chapter about imaging for a sports medicine reference book.
