Bio
Gabriela Acosta is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. She works with the orthopedic team offering urgent care at the walk-in clinic and also:
- Fractures, sprains, and strains.
- Casting and splinting
- Joint injections for pain relief and inflammation reduction in arthritic joints
- Patient education
Gabriela believes that informed patients are better equipped to participate in their own care. By actively listening to her patients to understand their preferences and individual circumstances, Gabriela aims to create a supportive environment in which her patients are empowered to take charge of their healthcare decisions.
Gabriela’s Training
Gabriela received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She earned her master’s in physician assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, where she graduated with highest honors.
About Gabriela
Gabriela is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed as a PA in Florida. She is a member of Pi Alpha, an honor society for physician assistant students and graduates.
Outside of work, Gabriela enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family, and her active lifestyle includes gymnastics and yoga.
She is fluent in English and Spanish.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
