Dr. George Eldayrie is a board-certified primary care sports medicine physician with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. He treats professional and amateur athletes and those with active lifestyles. For those who experience injury, he provides non-surgical orthopedic care, including:

  • Fracture management
  • Ultrasound guided joint and MSK injections
  • Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
  • Diagnostic MSK ultrasound
  • Sports-related concussion diagnosis and management
  • Treatment of chronic conditions such as arthritis, tendinitis and joint pain
  • Non-surgical orthopedic care
  • Management of sports injuries and return to play planning
  • Health and exercise recommendations

Dr. Eldayrie works closely and collaboratively with his patients’ orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers and primary care physicians to ensure each patient has a personalized and effective treatment plan. He prides himself on treating every patient like a member of his own family.

Dr. Eldayrie’s Training

Dr. Eldayrie earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo and medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He also completed his family medicine residency at UF, serving as chief resident during his final year. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he received extensive training in sports medicine ultrasound. Before joining Orlando Health, he practiced sports medicine in Tampa.

About Dr. Eldayrie

Dr. Eldayrie is board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians, with extra certification of added qualification in sports medicine, and has published his work in the peer-reviewed Journal of Family Practice.

Dr. Eldayrie is a native of Buffalo, New York, and a prior Division 1 athlete. During medical school and residency, he received extensive recognition for excellence and distinguished service, including induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, awards for excellence in family medicine and sports medicine, and the Family Medicine Resident Award for Scholarship.

Throughout his education and career, Dr. Eldayrie has served performing artists and dozens of high school, college and professional sports teams. Currently, he serves as medical director of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a consulting physician for the PGA and LPGA, a team physician for the Orlando City and Orlando Pride soccer teams, and a team physician for Horizon High School and Windermere Preparatory School. 

Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, golf, exercising, and spending time with his family.
