Dr. George Christophi is a board-certified gastroenterologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Gastroenterology. His specialties include:

Dr. Christophi’s Training

Dr. Christophi graduated summa cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in molecular biology and chemistry from Richard Stockton University in Pomona, New Jersey. He earned his PhD in immunology and his medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He completed his internal medicine residency, gastroenterology fellowship, advanced inflammatory bowel disease fellowship and post-doctoral gastrointestinal research at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

About Dr. Christophi

Dr. Christophi is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His professional memberships include the American Gastroenterological Association and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

Dr. Christophi’s work has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including Science, and book chapters. He serves as an editorial journal reviewer and has delivered presentations on numerous topics related to gastroenterology and immunology. He has been involved in clinical trials for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Christophi continues to be involved in inflammatory bowel disease reach along with nutrition and evaluation of novel treatments for immune-mediated gastrointestinal disorders.

Outside of work, Dr. Christophi enjoys spending time with family, fishing and walks on the beach. He is fluent in English and Greek.
