Dr. Gretchen Stieg is a board-certified surgeon with Orlando Health Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Orlando. She performs plastic and reconstructive surgery, including:
- Oncologic defect reconstruction
- Complex trauma reconstruction for adults and children
- Breast reconstruction
- Head and neck reconstruction
- Microvascular reconstruction
- Lymphedema
- Breast reduction
- Mohs reconstruction
She believes in personalized and compassionate care, with transparency and honest discussion about each patient’s condition and best treatment options.
Dr. Stieg’s Training
Dr. Stieg earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio. She completed her residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Wayne State University-Detroit Medical Center, where she served as academic chief resident in 2021-22 and administrative chief for 2022-23. She also completed a general surgery residency at Orlando Health, where she was administrative chief.
About Dr. Stieg
Dr. Stieg’s father was a plastic surgeon, and when she was younger, she accompanied him on several surgical mission trips. She considers him an excellent role model for combining knowledge and ability with passion and compassion. Dr. Stieg was raised in Orlando and is happy to serve the community where she grew up.
She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and has delivered presentations across the country on topics such as ankle fusions, spine and back reconstruction, abdominoplasty and scalp reconstruction.
Outside of work, Dr. Stieg enjoys spending time with family, traveling and singing. She also likes outdoor activities such as hiking and paddle boarding.
