Bio
Heather Tempest is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) with Orlando Health Physician Associates. She specializes in pediatrics, and her expertise includes:

Heather’s Training
Heather received her bachelor’s degree in nursing and earned her master’s degree in nursing with a focus on family nurse practitioner studies from Carlow University in Pittsburgh. She graduated summa cum laude from both programs. Heather also earned a bachelor’s degree in health policy and administration from Pennsylvania State University in University Park.

Heather is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and she is licensed in Florida and Pennsylvania. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Obesity Medicine Association and Sigma Theta Tau International, an honor society dedicated to developing nursing leaders and advancing global healthcare. Heather also served as an adjunct faculty member at Rasmussen University in Fort Myers, Florida.
Outside of work, she enjoys writing and illustrating children’s picture books, blogging and photography. Heather also likes spending time with her miniature Bernedoodle and staying active by running, hiking, scuba diving and weightlifting.
