Bio
Dr. Igor Areinamo is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric cardiovascular intensive care physician at Orlando Health Children's Heart Institute.
Dr. Areinamo believes in taking a holistic approach with his patients and strives to bring the latest evidence-based approaches into his treatment plans. He grew up in Venezuela and saw firsthand the consequences of people, particularly children, not having access to medical care, which is why he decided to become a pediatrician.
Dr. Areinamo received his medical training from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Saint Kitts and Nevis. He was the chief resident during the final year of his pediatric residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He then completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Utah and a pediatric critical care fellowship at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Areinamo is board-certified in cardiology and pediatrics with the American Board of Pediatrics. He is also affiliated with the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society and the American College of Cardiology, among other medical organizations.
He is fluent in English and Spanish.

The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
