Bio
Dr. Issa Zeidan is a board-certified hospice and palliative care physician with the Supportive and Palliative Care Program at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. He provides specialized medical care focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of living with a serious illness.
Dr. Zeidan’s expertise includes:
- Managing symptoms related to a patient’s underlying illness or treatment
- Addressing physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual needs whether they are the result of the disease or related to treatment
- Filling out advanced directives that document patient preferences for care
- Initiating conversations about what’s happening with a patient’s disease and what comes next
He also is a board-certified family medicine physician and an associate professor of family medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando.
Dr. Zeidan’s Training
Dr. Zeidan received his medical training at St. Matthews School of Medicine in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. He completed his residency in family medicine at Wayne State University in Rochester, Michigan, and performed his fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond.
He also has a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in healthcare management from Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a Master of Science in health service administration (MHSA) from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in Standish. As an undergraduate, he studied interdisciplinary sciences at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
