Dr. Jacobo Hincapie-Echeverri is a fellowship-trained medical oncologist at Orlando Health Cancer Institute with expertise in gastrointestinal cancers and geriatric oncology.
He also is a board-certified internal medicine and geriatric medicine physician and his clinical interests include:

Dr. Hincapie-Echeverri’s Training
Dr. Hincapie-Echeverri received his medical training from Universidad de Caldas in Colombia. He completed both a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hospice and palliative care medicine at New York Medical College in New York. Dr. Hincapie-Echeverri continued his training with a fellowship in geriatric medicine from Harvard Medical School in Boston and a hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of Florida (UF) Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
About Dr. Hincapie-Echeverri
He is a former clinical assistant professor and chief of the inpatient geriatric consult service for the UF College of Medicine. Dr. Hincapie-Echeverri’s work has appeared in peer-reviewed medical and scientific journals and he has given presentations nationally and internationally.
He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Geriatric Medicine. His professional memberships include the American Geriatrics Society, American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
