Bio
Dr. Jacqueline Alvarez is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist and breast-imaging specialist with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology. She cares for patients who need interpretation of their diagnostic and breast imaging, as well as breast procedures that are guided by imaging, using:
- Ultrasound
- Screening and diagnostic mammograms
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Breast biopsies
With almost a decade of experience, Dr. Alvarez believes that each patient deserves a thorough evaluation and to be treated with respect, kindness, compassion and empathy.
Dr. Alvarez’s Training
Dr. Alvarez earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She earned her medical degree at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she graduated near the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She also completed her residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. She completed a fellowship in breast imaging at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.

Dr. Alvarez is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Society of Breast Imaging, Radiology Society of North America, American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, American College of Physicians and National Medical Association.
Her research has appeared in peer-reviewed publications, and she has presented her work internationally.
Outside of work, Dr. Alvarez enjoys traveling, going to concerts, bargain shopping and watching movies.
