Bio
Dr. Jad Chahoud is the chief scientific and innovation officer with Orlando Health Cancer Institute, where he drives the organization’s vision for research excellence and technology-enabled innovation. In this role, he leads strategic initiatives to advance clinical trials, strengthen research infrastructure and integrate cutting-edge technologies that position Orlando Health as a national leader in patient-centered care and scientific advancement.
He also is a board-certified medical oncologist and expert in treating advanced genitourinary cancers.
Dr. Chahoud is passionate about transforming research operations through AI-enabled clinical trial systems and expanding patient access to groundbreaking therapies across Florida.
Dr. Chahoud’s Training
Dr. Chahoud received his medical training at Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and a hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He also earned a Master of Public Health and Master of Health Administration (MPH-MHA) from the University of Texas.
About Dr. Chahoud
Dr. Chahoud is board certified in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His professional memberships include the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association of Cancer Research, European Society of Medical Oncology and Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer.
A nationally recognized clinician, scientist and expert in advanced genitourinary cancers, Dr. Chahoud has led numerous first-in-human and investigator-initiated studies and is internationally known for his research on renal cell carcinoma and rare malignancies. His work has been published in numerous top-tier medical journals, including The Lancet, Journal of Clinical Oncology and Nature.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family. Dr. Chahoud is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Arabic.
