Dr. James Pao is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist at Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology. He specializes in neuroradiology, which uses medical imaging to diagnose abnormalities of the central and peripheral nervous system, spine, and head and neck.
He has expertise in:
- Recommending imaging, including X-rays, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance images (MRI), to referring physicians
- Ordering and interpreting medical images
- Performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures

Dr. Pao’s Training
As an undergraduate, Dr. Pao studied molecular and cell biology at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla and completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at UC Irvine Medical Center. He performed a fellowship in neuroradiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, in Boston.
