Dr. Jared Shenson is a board-certified head and neck surgical oncologist with the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. He sees a variety of patients suffering from the following:
- Head and neck problems
- Thyroid and parathyroid disorders
- Cancer of the face, scalp, salivary glands, nose and sinuses, mouth, and throat
Dr. Shenson specializes in the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of thyroid and parathyroid conditions, including advanced thyroid cancers that have spread to other areas of the neck and body. He uses state-of-the-art tools to provide his patients with personalized care, including the use of ultrasound, radio-frequency ablation, and intra-operative nerve monitoring and parathyroid identification.
Dr. Shenson’s Training
Dr. Shenson received his medical degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed a residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, followed by a fellowship in head and neck/endocrine surgical oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where he trained with international experts in the field.

His research has been published in leading journals in head and neck oncology and clinical informatics, including on topics such as radiofrequency ablation of the thyroid, novel techniques in otolaryngology surgery, and optimal use of technologies and data in clinical care.
