Jason T. Atienza, MD, MBA, is a board-certified physician and serves in dual roles at Orlando Health. As the corporate medical director of Orlando Health Rehabilitation Medicine, he ensures the initiatives and strategic plans of the rehabilitation program are aligned and promote quality and value for each patient. As department chief and medical director of Orlando Health Rehabilitation Services, he manages all members of the care team across multiple rehabilitation facilities and oversees all administrative areas for the department and the Orlando Health ORMC Institute for Advanced Rehabilitation, a state-of-the-art CARF-accredited 53-bed inpatient and comprehensive outpatient program.
Dr. Atienza earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and a bachelor’s of science degree in physiology from the University of California at Santa Barbara, graduating magna cum laude. He completed an internship in internal medicine at University of California at San Francisco and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Stanford University in California.
Dr. Atienza is board certified by and a member of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He also is a member of the American Association for Physician Leadership, American College of Healthcare Executives, and Florida Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
