Dr. Jay Amin is a urologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Urology. He employs the latest techniques in minimally invasive and robotic surgery and also has expertise in:
- Enlarged prostates
- Overactive bladder and incontinence
- Kidney, prostate and bladder cancer
- Men’s sexual health
- Complex stone disease
He is one of the few doctors in the Southeast trained in holmium laser enucleation of prostate (HoLEP) for the treatment of very large prostates (BPH). This procedure, often performed as outpatient surgery, allows for immediate improvements in urinary flow and quality of life without the need to take medications.
Dr. Amin loves taking care of patients and tailors his surgical experience to their unique physiology and treatment goals.
Dr. Amin’s Training
He earned his medical degree from the University of Buffalo in New York, graduating cum laude. He received multiple research grants, presented at national meetings and published peer-reviewed research papers. Dr. Amin completed his residency in urology at the Yale School of Medicine in Connecticut, where he was chief resident his final year.

Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, skiing, woodworking, cars and photography. He also likes taking on do-it-yourself projects around the house to exercise his creativity.
